Irrfan Khan passes away in Mumbai hospital

9Irfan Khan died today in a hospital in Mumbai, where he was admitt ed for a stomach infection. The 53-year-old actor had been battling cancer since 2018 and his official spokesman confirmed on Tuesday that he was under doctor's supervision. Irfan is survived by his wife Sutapa and sons - Babil and Ayan. Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar wrote a condolence letter remembering the actor. His family issued an official statement, "I trust, I have surrendered"; Irfan wrote about his battle with cancer in 2018. And a man of few words and an actor of silent sentiment with his keen eyes and his memorable works on screen. It is sad that on this day, we have to bring forward the news of his death.
